My sister bought a condo in Edgewater two years ago.She asked me to find a good floor contractor.The floors had water damage,and the bedroom was carpet that needed replacing.The floors are engineered wood.All of the contractors said they couldn't be fixed,and had to be ripped out.Emanuel was the only contractor out of over ten,that said he could fix the damaged floor.Replacing a wood floor is expensive,so this saved a lot of money.He fixed the floor,sanded the entire surface,stained and sealed it,and replaced the floor in the bedroom.His prices were excellent,very competive,lower then most,but not the lowest.Flooring work is very hard,so don't expect to get it for really cheap,that's not realistic.Their was a a crack that developed,and he came back right away and fixed it.The floor looks great,and it was nice working with Emanuel.He was great about returning phone calls,and texts,and did the work in a timely manner.

I had Emanuel sand and refinish my floors in nice dark color throughout my whole 1st floor of a ~100 yr old condo unit in the city. He was also able to restore the old maple floors underneath the kitchen tile that had been covered up for decades probably. He did a very good job and he really takes care to do things right. He moved all of the furniture around, made sure everything was cleaned up each day and took care of the details. I think that he is an Artisan on top of being able to do the job, he liked making our floors look great and brought back to life.

And he was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him. Emanuel and his crew did an amazing job on our floors! He gave us an honest quote and his professional opinion when choosing the stain color. We live in a fully furnished condo in Chicago and Emanuel was accommodating with the challenges of moving all of our things midway through the week in order to get the entire unit. He even went out of his way to repair damage done by us when moving a dresser...no complaints or issues, just fixed it! We are so happy with his work and the final product!
